This recipe came to us from the Principal of the school where Nicki's kids attend. She sent it our way and we were hooked! I will confess that this is a meal I have to know ahead of time I am going to make, because it has several steps, but they're not hard and the result is definitely worth the time it takes to make it! YUMMY!
Chicken:
2 lg. chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces.
(Sprinke with garlic salt and let sit about 15 minutes)
Dip chicken pieces in cornstarch, then into 1 egg beaten w/1 Tbs. water
Fry in grease until golden brown
Sauce:
1 C. sugar
1 T. flour
1/3 C. vinegar
1/3 C. ketchup
1/4 C. chicken broth
1 T. season salt
2 T. soy sauce
**Mix & microwave for 5 minutes, stirring half way through.
**Pour sauce over chicken
**Bake uncovered at 350 until hot and bubbly

Why is there no orange in the recipe if it is orange chicken?
I'm not sure why there isn't any orange in it, this is just the way we got it. :)
Made this last night, and the kids LOVED it! Thanks for posting!
I made it tonight. To me, it doesn't taste like Panda Express Orange chicken. The above blogger is right on it doesn't have any orange in it. It's good, just not orange chicken
